Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 - MK1

rare MK1 execution - flawless dial - beautiful look

Description
This Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 is the rare MK1 version from 1980. In addition to its rarity, the watch scores with its flawless dial and beautiful look on the wrist.

Compared to the Submariner, the Sea Dweller was always Rolex's more professional diving watch. In addition to the higher water resistance, the Sea Dweller had the newly developed helium valve. This allowed the inner pressure in the watch to be diminished faster during the decompression and thus the breaking of the crystal could be avoided, which was the case with the Submariners. There are also visual differences to Submariner such like a larger case and the absence of the Cyclops lens above the date at 3 o'clock.

Condition report
Dial: flawless dial, original and 100% intact tritium luminous material in hands and markers.

Case: great condition, thick profile, hardly any signs of wear, clearly visible numbers between the lugs.

Bezel: rotatable diver's bezel without scratches, intact pearl at 12 o'clock.

Movement: Automatic caliber 1570 works perfectly.

Bracelet: original Oyster stainless steel bracelet, natural signs of wear, slight stretch, reference 93150, clasp code S R5 (changed during a service in 1993).

Summing Up
The Rolex Sea Dweller is a special watch. The MK1 version presented here is even rarer. The vintage watch is preserved in TOP condition and is a real eye-catcher on the wrist.
