Omega DeVille 146.017 Blue

rare blue dial - original bracelet - perfect condition

This vintage beauty is the Omega DeVille 146.017 with a rare blue dial and original vintage stainless steel bracelet.

The Omega DeVille was introduced in 1969 and, in contrast to the Speedmaster and Seamaster, was to become Omega's more elegant watch line. The chronograph function makes it a sporty and elegant wristwatch. But the DeVille was rather unpopular back then. As a result, this model was only produced for 2 years and disappeared in 1971, making the DeVille extremely rare today. Most examples featured a silver dial. The blue variant is even rarer. And then the preserved condition plays an immense role. That brings us to the offered specimen, which has been preserved in fantastic and rarely worn condition.

This Omega DeVille 146.017 has the rare and coveted blue dial, which is in absolutely flawless condition with no scratches, stains or other flaws. A unique look of the watch is created thanks to the unusual position of the date, which fits perfectly into the dial. At 9 o'clock, the date window is integrated into the crosshair subdial with the running seconds: a unique feature of this watch. Blue dial combined with white accents in the tachymeter scale, hands, minute markers and writings create a calm contrast. The long hour markers are equipped with original tritium and have a creamy patina. At 12 o'clock you can see the applied Omega logo and at 6 o'clock the inscription "T SWISS MADE T".

The stainless steel case measures 35mm in diameter. Compared to other 35mm watches, the DeVille appears larger on the wrist thanks to its thin bezel and domed acrylic crystal. The case has few natural signs of wear and, in our opinion, it has never been polished or has been very lightly polished in the past. The lugs are sharp and the case back still shows the word "WATERPROOF". The chronograph is powered by the manual-winding Omega caliber 930, which operates absolutely flawlessly.

This Omega DeVille is accompanied by the original and super rare stainless steel bracelet that correctly fits this model. The clasp is stamped with the date 10/69.

There is also an excerpt from the Omega archive confirming the originality of this vintage timepiece and the production date November 26, 1969.

The search for a well-preserved Omega DeVille 146.017 can be a long one. The rarity of this vintage model is obvious. Here you have the opportunity not only to get hold of the coveted blue version, but also a fantastically preserved example with the original bracelet.
