Description
This no-date Rolex Submariner 5513 was produced in 1977 and features an absolutely perfect matte dial.

The Rolex Submariner is the mother of all diving watches. Throughout its long history, the Submariner has been continually improved and modified. This circumstance created many versions that are studied and admired by vintage collectors. The no-date reference 5513, which was manufactured from 1966 to around 1984, is particularly popular. Due to the symmetry of the dial created by the lack of a date window, the watch has that classic look that many vintage collectors fall in love with. Another feature that makes the reference 5513 instantly recognizable is the two-line dial inscription at 6 o'clock.

The present Rolex Submariner 5513 features a maxi dial, which has larger hour markers compared to previous versions. There were 5 different executions within the Maxi family. The very first version (MK1) is the easiest to identify, because it was the only one with the word SUBMARINER under the depth rate. On all later versions, "SUBMARINER" was written above the depth rate.

Dial: absolutely flawless matt dial, original tritium lume, signed "SWISS - T<25" at 6 o'clock.

Case: greatly preserved Oyster case with full profile, natural signs of wear, reference 5513 inside the case back, intact numbers between the lugs.

Bezel: rotatable diver's bezel in very good overall condition, small scratch between 3 and 4 o'clock.

Movement: Rolex automatic caliber 1520 operates reliably and precisely - values on the timegrapher: rate: -4s/day, amplitude: 234 degrees, beat error: 0.2 ms.

Bracelet: Oyster bracelet with natural signs of wear, little stretch, bracelet ref. 93150, end links 580, folding clasp stamped with S-P5.

Summing up
This Rolex Submariner 5513 is a great vintage wristwatch for everyday wear. It is reliable and goes well with both casual and elegant wear. The rarity and the great condition make it a highly valuable collector's watch.
