Description
This extravagant chronograph by Jaeger-LeCoultre from the 1970s was a medical chronograph with a pulsation scale powered by the Valjoux 72 manual-wound movement.

Since its founding in 1833, the Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture has been located in a Swiss village called Le Sentier in the Vallée de Joux. In 1891 the company, then still called LeCoultre & Cie, began to manufacture complicated watch movements. The company name Jaeger-LeCoultre was created in 1930 after LeCoultre entered into a cooperation with Edmond Jaeger, the watchmaker for the French Navy and supplier to Cartier. In the 1970s, JLC introduced some impressive wrist chronographs, including this Doctor Pulso.

With an estimated 200 pieces produced, the reference 2648-42 is one of the rarest Jaeger-LeCoultre vintage watches. But the chronograph is not only so popular with collectors because of its rarity. The intricate dial housed in the large 43mm stainless steel case under an acrylic crystal makes for a striking look on the wrist. The legendary and reliable Valjoux 72 movement ensures technical precision.

But it is only through its great condition that this watch becomes a real object of value

Condition report
Dial: great - flawless blue-metallic surface - tiny scratches in the left and right sub-registers that are not visible to the naked eye - original tritium lume in the hands and hour markers - signed with "T SWISS MADE T" .

Summing-Up
