Tudor Oysterdate 94300 Monte-Carlo

This Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph reference 94300 from 1980 is considered one of Tudor's most desirable models and enjoys cult status among vintage watch collectors. Due to its bold and colourful dial design, it is also commonly referred to as the "Monte Carlo" or "Exotic Dial." The present example is offered in excellent overall condition.

Reference 94300 features a fixed stainless steel tachymeter bezel and the characteristic Monte Carlo dial with orange and white accents. The distinctive layout of the sub-dials, combined with the magnified date display at 3 o'clock, gives the watch its unmistakable appearance. The dial itself is in flawless condition.

The nickname "Big Block" refers to the thicker case profile of reference 94300, which houses the automatic Valjoux 7750 movement. This robust and proven chronograph movement with quick-set date function has been checked and runs very accurately. The chronograph functions are operated via the screw-down pushers and work perfectly.

As with many Tudor models from this period, this watch incorporates several Rolex components. The screw-down Rolex Triplock crown bears the typical Rolex signature, while the caseback is engraved with "Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva".

Case: 42 mm stainless steel case – very light signs of wear – sharp lines and edges – the numbers between the lugs are clearly legible – correct caseback engravings – original screw-down Rolex crown – original screw-down chronograph pushers.

Bracelet: original Rolex Oyster bracelet in excellent condition – minimal stretch – ref. 7836 – end links ref. 358 – adjustable wrist size: 18,6 cm – 20,7 cm.
