Here we offer an excellently preserved example of an elegant Rolex Air-King 5500. The watch dates from 1976 and is accompanied by original accessories.

The Rolex Air-King belongs to the so-called Air model series of Rolex, which was already produced in the 1940s. While the models such as Air Lion, Air Giant, Air Tiger are no longer in existence today, the Air King can still be found in the Rolex portfolio. These watches were worn by the British Royal Air Force. With a diameter of about 34 mm, the Air King was relatively large by the standards back then, so that the time could be easily read while flying.

This Air King is from 1976 and impresses with its gray sunburst dial, which is in a beautiful collectors condition. The stainless steel case is also absolutely TOP. In December 1977, this elegant wristwatch was purchased by its first owner. This is revealed to us by the original Rolex warranty, which is labeled with the date of sale, reference and serial number. Other accessories include a hangtag stamped with the serial number and the original presentation box.

Dial: flawless - perfect original sunburst finish - every single lumedot is intact and original - tritium lume is also original in hands - signed with "Precision" and "T SWISS T".

Case: excellent condition - sharp lugs - very light wear marks - intact numbers between lugs.
