Tudor Submariner 94010 Warm Patina

snowflake hands - flawless dial - original warm tritium patina

Description
This beautiful vintage classic is the Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner 94010 Snowflake from 1979.

The first Tudor Submariner was presented in the 1950s and featured Rolex Mercedes hands since Tudor was (and is) a subsidiary of Rolex. This particular Tudor Submariner Snowflake was the first step towards the independent design of Tudor. This watch is nicknamed Snowflake because of the unique snowflake shape of the hour hand. The central second hand has a diamond shape. The reference 94010 was presented in the 70s. The Snowflake Submariner disappeared in the 1980s going down in history as the flagship of Tudor watches. Inspired by the vintage models, Tudor uses the Snowflake hands in today's Black Bay models.

A special feature of this Tudor Submariner from 1979 is the warm vanilla-colored patina in the hour markers and hands. Together with the black dial, the original tritium provides a nice contrast and harmonious vintage look. The matte dial surface is absolutely flawless. The rotating diver's bezel is also in excellent condition. The Oyster case shows hardly any signs of wear and has a thick profile.

According to our valuation the watch is either unpolished or has been very lightly polished in the past. The deep engravings can be observed on the screwed case back: "Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva". The watch is powered by the ETA automatic caliber 2776, which offers a hacking seconds mechanism. A triplock Rolex crown is used to wind the watch and to set the time. The Submariner is accompanied by the original folded stainless steel Oyster bracelet. The has features a diver's extension and is stamped with the code "C".

This 100% authentic Tudor Submariner 94010 is not only an attractive and reliable watch for every day wear, but also a rare and sought-after collector's item.
