Omega Seamaster 60 166.062 Like NOS

almost unworn - attractive look - hangtag

Description
Since its release in 1948, the Seamaster has been one of the most popular models from the Omega catalog. Over the years, there have been both elegant and sporty Seamaster models. The Seamaster 60 was a combination of both: It was a tool timepiece and at the same time a very good looking wristwatch for daily wear. Introduced in the late 1960s, the Seamaster 60 came in three different dial variations: black, dark blue and burgundy.

Here you can see an almost unworn example with a blue dial and dark blue bakelite bezel. Thanks to the light gray checkered outer ring, the blue dial is visually separated from the bezel, providing a subtle contrast and giving the watch a sporty racing character. The tritium luminous material of this watch is evenly aged and has taken on an attractive creamy color. The Bakelite bezel, often in poor condition, is perfectly preserved here and features a luminous triangle at 12 o'clock.

The super-sharp stainless steel case has virtually no signs of wear, and on its caseback you can see leftovers of the original seal from the year of manufacture. This suggests that this watch was very rare on the wrist during its long 50 years. The original Omega bracelet also has hardly any wear marks and emphasizes the excellent condition of this piece. Even the clasp still offers resistance when you try to fold it.

Another interesting feature of this diver's watch is the large 6mm crown, which was used on Omega professional diver's watches. This can be used not only to wind the watch and adjust the time, but also to set the date. By repeatedly pulling out and pushing in the crown, the date disc is adjusted by one day.

Last but not least, this Omega Seamaster is accompanied by a "small but sweet" accessory: The original Omega hangtag labeled with the reference and movement number.
