Patek Philippe Calatrava 570 Box and Papers

The classic Calatrava is one of the most popular Patek Philippe vintage models. The reference 570 offered here enchants with its calm and aesthetic elegance, honest patina and original accessories.

Hardly any other watch offers the charm and feeling on the wrist like a vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava 570. The 35mm diameter may not seem too big to us today, but back in the 40s and 50s, when the first Calatravas were produced, this diameter was unusually large. That's why this Calatrava is nicknamed "Jumbo" or "oversized" making it very popular with 21st century collectors.

The solid 18k yellow gold case of this almost 60-year-old Patek Philippe has a flat profile. Thanks to the low weight and the fine shape, the watch is very comfortable to wear on the wrist. A calm and elegant look occurs due to the beautiful cream-colored dial with gold dauphine hands, gold markers and a running seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. The snap-on back bears the engraving of the first owner: "A. Edgar Aub Cincinnati / OHIO". The engraving has remained deep and intact to this day, suggesting that the watch was rarely worn. The case back is signed inside with the reference 570 and the case number 307xxx.

This Calatrava 570 is accompanied by exceptional original accessories: A brown Patek Philippe box and the old Patek Philippe certificate of origin have been preserved to this day.

Condition report
Dial: original cream-colored dial with patina spots, which appear harmonious and natural when looking at the dial, those spots wonderfully reflect the old age of the watch, "SWISS" signed.

Case: 18k yellow gold case, very well preserved, visible gold hallmarks on the side and under the lug, snap-on back with deep engraving of the first owner.

Movement: Patek Philippe caliber 12-400 in excellent condition, timing machine +/-3 s/d.

Bracelet: Leather bracelet with a golden clasp.

Accessories: rare original Patek Philippe box in excellent condition, old certificate of origin from Patek Philippe with stamped reference and serial number of the watch.
