Movado M95 Chronograph 19038 Radium Lume

original radium lume - stunning condition - attractive vintage look

Description
This rare Movado M95 Chronograph reference 19038 from the 1950s offers a wonderful vintage look thanks to natural patina on the dial.

Movado was founded in the year 1881. The Swiss watch manufacturer was able to position itself alongside many renowned watch brands. Movado is known for manufacturing their own movements. The M95 chronograph offered here is powered by the in-house manual-wind caliber 95M. A special feature of this movement is the operation of the chronograph, that is started and stopped with the lower pusher. The upper pusher resets the chronograph. On most chronographs, the functionality of the pushers is the other way around.

The case design of this Movado was created by François Borgel - a designer who created the case shape of the legendary Patek Philippe 1463. The stunning three-register dial shows a balanced patina that reflects the great age of this vintage watch. Also contributing to the beautiful appearance are the red minute numerals on the dial and the red chrono hands. At 6 o'clock, the dial bears the signature "Switzerland" in written out form, which is relatively rare. The Arabic hour numerals are filled with original radium luminous material, which can be verified with a Geiger counter.

Considering that this vintage watch is about 70 years old, its condition is pretty impressive.
