We proudly offer you this Patek Philippe World Time 5110 in platinum. The watch was sold in June 2006 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The beginnings of the Patek Philippe World Time watches date back to the 1930s, when the World Time was a pocket watch. Since then, the World Time has been an integral part of Patek Philippe history. The reference 5110 offered here was introduced around the turn of the millennium. Its predecessor was the reference 2523 from the 1950s. Thus, the 5110 was the first World Time watch that the world had seen in almost half a century. This fact alone created a special excitement and sensation among watch enthusiasts.

In a short production period between 2000 and 2006, the 5110 was produced in white, yellow and rose gold, as well as in platinum. The platinum version here, with its attractive blue-gray dial, is arguably one of the most beautiful world time watches ever made. The Calatrava case is 37 mm in diameter and was the first World Timer to feature crown guards, giving it a sporty character. Of course, a real eye-catcher is the dial of this watch. The bright outer ring features 24 cities, each representing a time zone. The inner dial has a stunning swirling guilloché pattern. The hands were given a completely new diamond shape.

Probably the most important innovation was the intuitive and practical operation of the new caliber 240 HU. If one sets the local time using the pulled-out crown, the 24-hour ring simultaneously rotates counterclockwise to correctly display the time in all 24 time zones of the world. If you want to change the time zone, you press the pusher at 10 o'clock until the desired city is displayed at 12 o'clock. Not only the city ring moves, but also the 24-hour ring with day/night indications and the hour hand. This method made the 5110 one of the easiest and most intuitive world time watches to use.

This specimen is accompanied by the original accessories. On the certificate of origin, one can see the most important data about the watch and the date of sale: June 2006 at the jeweler Gübelin in Geneva. Other accessories are booklets, leather warranty holder, instruction manual, presentation box and an outer box.
