Description
We proudly present this Patek Philippe 5270G "Munich Edition" limited to 50 pieces: a white gold perpetual calendar chronograph produced on the occasion of Patek Philippe's KunstWerkUhr exhibition in Munich in 2013.

The reference 5270 is the reinterpretation of the legendary Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar from the 1940s. Since then, these timepieces have been among the most sought-after Patek Philippe watches. The reference 5270 is the harmonious combination of tradition and innovation. Developed and manufactured entirely in the manufacture's ateliers, the manual-wound caliber CH 29-535 PS Q movement combines a perpetual calendar with a chronograph and is one of the most modern and innovative movements.

In 2011, the reference 5270G was introduced in white gold, followed by rose gold in 2015 and by platinum in 2018. There were several dial variants, identified by additional three numbers. This particular variant, whose full reference number is 5270G-015, was released in 2013 on the occasion of Patek Philippe's KunstWerkUhr exhibition in Munich to celebrate the traditional precision manufacturer that has significantly influenced 500 years of global watchmaking history. This special reference was available exclusively at Wempe in Munich - one of the oldest watch retailers in the world and a long-time partner of Patek Philippe in Germany.

The specimen offered here comes from its first owner, who had purchased the watch at Wempe in Munich on December 19, 2013. The watch is still packed and sealed. The original accessories are fully present:
- Patek Philippe certificate of origin issued on December 20, 2013 and stamped "Wempe Munich",
- original sales invoice dated 19 December 2013,
- multiple Patek Philippe brochures,
- instruction manual,
- Patek Philippe leather warranty holder.

The white dial shows the classic face of Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronographs, and despite the considerable number of eleven indications, convinces with clarity and good readability. The day of the week and month are displayed in a double window at 12 o'clock. In the sub-register at 6 o'clock, the date is combined with the moon phase indication. Small seconds is at 9 o'clock and the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. On the periphery of the dial, you will find a blue tachymeter scale. Pretty special are the two small round windows for day/night indication and leap year cycle.

Summing-Up
It is understandable that Patek Philippe watches not only have an excellent reputation, but enjoy ever-growing popularity and fascinate many watch collectors. They are synonymous with exceptional quality, countless technical innovations and unique aesthetics. It is not for nothing that rulers, popes, kings and presidents have owned Patek Philippe watches or presented the coveted timepieces as gifts.

The Grand Complications timepiece offered here is a really rare and special opportunity to own an important Patek Philippe reference in unworn, boxed and sealed condition.

To our knowledge, no second specimen of the "Munich Edition" is currently offered worldwide.
