Description
Equipped with a new movement and produced from about 1959 to 1977, the Datejust 16xx is one of the most popular and affordable Datejust models available on the market today.

This Rolex Datejust 1601 was manufactured in 1967 and sold in Singapore on 10/24/1968. This is confirmed by the original warranty stamped with the watch's serial number. Also from the 1968 year of sale: the official Watch Rate Certificate, which is punched with the serial number and stamped with the matching movement number.

This elegant watch features a so-called "no-lume" dial. Unlike most Datejust variants, this watch has no tritium in the hands and hour markers. The beautiful fluted bezel is made of solid 18-karat white gold.

Dial: Silver step no-lume dial with absolutely flawless sunburst finish - slight traces of dirt at 7 o'clock - signed "T SWISS T".

Case: Stainless steel case - razor sharp lugs - perfect sunburst finish on lugs - virtually no wear marks - original screw-down Rolex twinlock crown - perfect fluted bezel.

Movement: automatic caliber 1570 - timegrapher: -1s/day, amplitude: 255, beat error: 0.5.
