Description
This classic Rolex Datejust 1601 was sold in Argentina on December 20, 1974 and is accompanied by the original warranty and even the original invoice.

Rolex Datejust reference 16xx is one of the most popular vintage models. It combines reliable mechanics thanks to the precise Rolex caliber 1570 and an elegant look thanks to the understated dials.

The watch offered here has a silver-colored sigma stepped dial, which has been preserved in a beautiful condition until today. The elegant look is also contributed by the fluted bezel and, of course, the classic Oyster case.

The original accessories make the watch a wonderful collectible. The chronometer warranty is punched with the serial number and shows the date of sale: December 20, 1974. Even the original invoice is still present showing the price at the time (7300 pesos) and the place of sale: Florida Province in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dial: greatly preserved silver step dial with absolutely flawless sunburst - light patina dots at 11 o'clock (only visible under 10x loupe) - original tritium lume in markers and hands - signed "σ T SWISS T σ".

Case: stainless steel case - sharp lugs - intact sunburst on lugs - hardly any wear marks - original screw-down Rolex twinlock crown - perfectly preserved fluted bezel.

Movement: automatic Rolex caliber 1570 - timegrapher: rate: +2s/day, amplitude: 299, beat error: 0.2.

Bracelet: stainless steel jubilee bracelet - reference 62510H - clasp code O4 (1990) - end links 555B.
