This original vintage Yema Superman 530016 dates back to the 1960s and is a classic diver's watch with a minimalist design.
Founded in 1948, the French brand Yema produced its best watches in the competitive 1960s and 70s. Besides the famous chronographs like Rallygraf or Flygraf, Yema is best known for the diving watch Superman, which was launched in 1963.
The beautiful design of this cool vintage timepiece makes it easy to fall in love with it. A Submariner-style dial, unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown and crown guards. While the minute hand features a distinctive triangular tip, the seconds hand has an unusual luminous tip and a red dot. Another unique feature of this diver's watch is its bezel lock system, which essentially consists of a small metal clip positioned over the crown. When the crown is screwed down, the clip locks the bezel and prevents it from rotating during a dive.
What we love most about this watch is the warm color of the original tritium lume in hands and markers. The creamy patina is the result of natural aging and gives this watch a true vintage look.
In celebration of Yema's 70th anniversary in 2018, the Superman Héritage was introduced - a reissue of the legendary Superman from the 1960s.
