Rolex Daytona 16528 Black - Full Set

SoldRolex's first automatic Daytona was introduced in 1988 and featured a larger case, sapphire crystal and was powered by the legendary Zenith El Primero chronograph movement, which is why this model is called the Zenith Daytona. The watch immediately became a cult classic and generated a long waiting list at Rolex dealers. The gold version, reference 16528, was a luxurious alternative to the steel reference 16520.
The solid 18-carat yellow gold case in combination with the gold Oyster bracelet exudes power and luxury. The coveted black dial with creamy rings in the sub-dials, bright hour markers and red "DAYTONA" inscription provides a stunning contrast.
This Daytona was sold to its first owner in Singapore on December 30, 1998. The original full set from the year of sale includes:
