Lowenthal was a subsidiary of Bovet Fleurier in Switzerland. This chronograph from the 1940s has a large 37 mm diameter.
The charm of this vintage watch is created thanks to the black galvanic dial with silver-colored print. The warm lettering and indices create a fine contrast on the aged black surface. As light plays across the dial, the color of the lettering can change from silver to a deep bronze effect. If you look at the lacquer layer under a magnifying glass, you can see a slight brownish discoloration - absolutely wonderful patina of the 100% original dial.
The 37mm case, which is very large and rare for a 1940s chronograph, and the vintage stainless steel bracelet with a 7-row Beads Of Rice pattern make for a beautiful presence on the wrist.
