This super elegant 1950s Universal Genève wristwatch has a thin pink gold case and a silver-colored dial.

The watch brand Universal Genève, which no longer exists today, never ceases to amaze us with its watches from the 20th century. It is above all the minimalist and stylish design of the so-called dress watches that are suitable for every occasion and that we love so much.

The lovely character of this watch is best shown off on the wrist of a stylish person. The beautiful lugs, the flat profile and of course the calm silver dial create an elegant and harmonious look.

This model measures 34 mm in diameter and has a Calatrava-style dial. The Arabic numerals mark the hours at 12, 3, 6 and 9, while the other hour markers are adorned with small gold beads. A minute ring with small cut-outs at the hour markers divides the dial into an outer ring and an inner area containing a sub-dial with running seconds. The hands are made of pink gold and have a beautiful dauphine shape.

A pink gold case is rare anyway. What's even more special about this example is the truly exceptional condition. The reference and serial numbers on the case back are clearly legible, indicating that the watch is unpolished.
