The Day-Date collection is often referred to as the "President Watch" due to its popularity with heads of state, celebrities and influential personalities. The fact that the Rolex Day-Date was only made in precious metals emphasizes once again the luxurious character of this model line.

Reference 1803 was introduced in 1959 and produced until around 1977. This particular specimen dates from 1962 and is therefore one of the very early of the Rolex Day-Date. The fluted white gold bezel and the classic silver step dial with baton-shaped hour markers housed in the perfectly proportioned 36 mm Oyster case ensure an elegant and timeless design.
