Description
This rare Minerva chronograph from the 1950s has a stunning dial in John Player Special colors.

Minerva is a Swiss watch manufacturer with a rich tradition dating back to 1858. The company was founded in Villeret, Switzerland, and over the years has gained a reputation as a manufacturer of high-quality mechanical timepieces. Minerva's vintage chronographs in particular are highly sought after and prized for their craftsmanship, rarity and historical significance.

This Minerva chronograph dates back to the 1950s and has an unmistakable design. The color combination on the dial resembles the iconic black and gold livery of the John Player Special Formula 1 racing car. The watch has a black dial with gold accents. The lume in hour markers and hands also has a wonderful golden patina. The dial is balanced and easy to read.

A chronograph from the 1950s is very rare, especially with three sub-dials, as most only had two. The sub-dials show the running seconds, the 30-minute counter and the 12-hour counter.
