Description
This Rolex Datejust 4467 dates back to 1946 and was one of the first Datejusts to be ever produced in series.

Today, the Datejust is an absolute bestseller and the longest continuously produced Rolex collection with over 250 different models.

Reference 4467 is the first version of the Rolex Datejust and was produced between around 1945 and 1949, with six known production batches. The first production batch from 1946 corresponds to the serial number range 4604xx to 4606xx. Based on the serial number of this example, it can be assumed that this Datejust was one of the first 20 Datejusts to be produced.

Due to the case design, which was derived from the Big Bubble Back, the case of the 4467 is also known as the "Ovettone" (Italian for "big egg").

Dial: wonderfully preserved grainé dial - absolutely even patina - signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual", "Certified Chronometer" and "swiss made".

Case: 18K yellow gold case with slight signs of wear - deep hallmark on case - original Rolex crown, signed "Rolex Oyster" - fine fluted bezel in perfect condition - intact hallmarks inside the case back.

Movement: Rolex automatic caliber A295 - values on the timegrapher: rate deviation: +22s/day, amplitude: 295 degrees, beat error: 0.4 ms.
