We are proud to offer you this exceptional and extremely rare Rolex Datejust 4467 in a rose gold case from 1946.

Reference 4467 is the first series of the Rolex Datejust and was introduced in 1945 on the occasion of Rolex's 40th anniversary. The Datejust 4467 was the very first automatic wristwatch with a date function. This model also introduced the fluted Datejust bezel, which back then had a fine and elegant fluting.

What makes this Datejust 4467 so special and rare is the rose gold case and the early serial number. It is not only the very first reference of the Datejust, but also the first production batch from 1946. The case numbers of the first batch range from 4604xx to 4606xx. This corresponds to a total number of approximately 200 watches, and that is only if every single case was used. To our knowledge, a maximum of 10% were made in rose gold and the others in yellow gold. This brings us to a maximum of 20 rose gold Datejusts.

The dial of this specimen has an authentic patina that reflects the natural ageing of this almost 80-year-old wristwatch.

Dial: white-grainé dial with natural patina - signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual", "Chronometre" and "swiss made".

Case: 18K rose gold case in great condition - deep gold hallmark on the case - original Rolex crown, signed "Rolex Oyster" - fine fluted rose gold bezel in perfect condition - intact hallmarks inside the back.

Movement: Rolex automatic caliber A295 - values on the timegrapher: rate: +30s/day, amplitude: 210 degrees, beat error: 0.3 ms.

Summing-Up
The combination of the early production batch and the rose gold case makes this Datejust extremely rare. Added to this are the outstanding condition and the breathtaking look of this Rolex icon.
