Description
This Breitling SuperOcean 807 is an extremely rare and historically important chronograph from 1961.

The demand for professional diving watches increased rapidly in the 1950s. Whether for professional deep-sea diving, the scientific conquest of the oceans or water sports - a robust wristwatch that also worked reliably under water was a very important and necessary tool.

Breitling launched the SuperOcean 807 chronograph in 1957, and it was not only its reliability and water resistance of 200 m that made this timepiece a pioneering diver's watch, but also its stunning design that set it apart from all other watches on the market. Many vintage collectors agree that the 1957 SuperOcean was the world's first wristwatch with white registers on a black dial. Breitling maximized the legibility of the SuperOcean with greatly oversized circular and triangular hour markers. The rotating bezel features a rare concave design that is distinctly different from the usual flat black bezel. On the wrist, the 39mm stainless steel case sits flat and comfortably thanks to the thin profile with elongated lugs.

The production numbers of the SuperOcean were very low, which makes it a little-known but extremely rare collector's watch.

What makes this particular example even more valuable is its fantastic condition. In addition, the watch is accompanied by the rare exotic stainless steel bracelet.
