Description
This MK1 version of the Rolex GMT-Master reference 16750 comes from 1981 and features a perfect matte dial with attractive creamy lume.

The 16750 is one of the so-called transitional references. It was the first GMT-Master with a quickset date. Reference 16750 was produced between 1981 and 1988, which makes this 1981 watch a very early example.

Until about 1984, the 16750s had a matte dial with classic (not outlined) luminous markers, like the predecessor 1675. Later examples had a glossy dial with white gold bordered hour markers. It is known that many matte dials were replaced with glossy dials when they were serviced at Rolex. For this reason, the reference 16750 with a matte dial is quite rare, especially if you are looking for a well-preserved specimen.

The distinctive feature of the present GMT-Master is its beautiful, friendly look on the wrist. The pepsi bezel has rich colors and the luminous material in dial and hands has aged to a creamy patina. The 1980 Oyster bracelet completes the package.

Case: Oyster stainless steel case - very light wear marks - lightly refurbished - intact numbers between lugs - perfect pepsi bezel without scratches.

Movement: automatic caliber Rolex 1575 COSC - timegrapher: rate: +1s/day, amplitude: 279, beat error: 0.1 - the movement was recently serviced.
