Description
This exceptional Cartier Paris with a silver guilloché dial in a gold tonneau case dates from 1989.

The quote from Louis Cartier sums up the philosophy of the Cartier watch brand very well: "Never copy, only create". This motto is embodied in all Cartier watches, which is why they were worn by royal families throughout Europe and are so prized by collectors.

Here we offer you a very rare Cartier Paris in a tonneau yellow gold case from the late 1980s. Since its introduction in 1906, the tonneau case with its elongated and curved shape has been one of Cartier's most elegant and beautiful creations for around 120 years. The so-called "officier" lugs are fitted with screwed pins.

The highlight of this watch is the excellent condition of the Guillochè dial. The dial is signed Cartier Paris. The black Roman hour numerals provide an impressive contrast. The sword hands are made of blued steel, matching the cabochon-cut blue sapphire stone in the crown.
