This extravagant and unusual Jumbo Piaget Tiger Eye is a quartz watch from the 1970s in a large rectangular yellow gold case.

Produced between 1970 and 1976, the Piaget 14101 was the first quartz watch from the Swiss manufacturer. This model is powered by the revolutionary Beta 21 quartz caliber, one of the first quartz movements developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s in collaboration with renowned Swiss watch manufacturers such as Rolex and Patek Philippe and used in the models of these brands.

This Piaget 14101 represents the bold design language of the 1970s. The large rectangular gold stepped case houses a stunning tiger eye dial. Due to its uniform structure of horizontal golden-brown to golden-yellow striped fibers, this dial is called "Una Faccia" (from the Italian "One Face"). The counterpart to this is the "Quattro Facce" ("Four Faces") version with 4 sectors in which the fibers are arranged alternately horizontally and vertically.

This dial demonstrates Piaget's enormous attention to detail and luxurious aesthetics. In our opinion, this vintage watch is a true work of art in watchmaking history.
