SoldThe Breitling brand is known for producing high quality chronographs. A groundbreaking innovation was the development of the first automatic chronograph. The legendary caliber 11 was introduced in 1969 and used in new watch models. One of them is the Breitling Chronomatic 2115 from 1970 offered here.
The chronograph is powered by the caliber 11 with a GMT complication. This allows the time to be read in two different time zones. The chronograph has a charismatic look due to its big size and colorful design. The hour, minute and chrono seconds hands are orange. The yellow 24-hour GMT hand shows the time on the rotating two-tone inner bezel. The tritium in the hour markers and hands is original and intact. The black surface of the dial is perfectly preserved. The sub-dials have aged to a creamy patina. The date disc has red numerals.
The large 46mm stainless steel case is also greatly preserved and shows only a few natural signs of wear. The case back bears the reference and serial number. The crown is signed with the Breitling logo. The watch is accompanied by the rare original Breitling stainless steel bracelet, which shows hardly any signs of wear.
All in all a rare complicated vintage chronograph that is very collectable thanks to its excellent overall condition.
