Rolex Datejust 1601 Black Gilt Dial

This rare and remarkable Rolex Datejust 1601 dates back to 1965 and captivates with its absolutely perfect gilt door stop dial and the charming aesthetics created by the black and gold combination.

A highly coveted feature of this watch is the black gilt dial. These special dials, that were mainly produced in the 1950s and 1960s, are characterized by their gold-colored prints and a deep black, glossy surface. Case: 18 carat yellow gold - very slight signs of wear/storage - intact gold hallmarks - reference number 1601 and serial number 1128xxx clearly legible between the lugs - correct engravings and gold hallmarks inside the case back - Rolex Twinlock crown.

Bezel: perfectly preserved fluted 18-carat yellow gold bezel.

Movement: automatic Rolex caliber 1560 - values on the timegrapher: rate: +9s/day, beat error: 0.8 ms, amplitude: 246 degrees.
