This is a very rare opportunity to get hold of a vintage elegant Rolex chronograph in impressive condition.
The reference 4062 dates back to the 1940/50s and has an unmistakable design. The timepiece owes its simple and elegant appearance to the flat stainless steel/pink gold case with beautiful teardrop lugs. A highlight of this watch is not only the oversized-for-the-era diameter of 36 mm, but also the fluted case flanks, hence the nickname "coin edge".
We love the even patina on the complicated two-register dial featuring a black tachymeter scale and a blue telemeter scale. Thanks to the lack of bezel, the dial and the watch appear much larger than the 36mm diameter would suggest. Many details such as the rose gold markers and hands or the numbers 12 and 6 complete the minimalist design, creating a very harmonious overall look.
For a watch that is almost 80 years old, the condition of the dial and case is simply impressive. Even the engravings on the back, which often disappear simply by wearing the watch, are still visible today.
