Here we present one of the rarest Autavias: the Heuer Autavia 741.603 GMT from 1974 - the only hand-wound GMT in the distinctive cushion case of reference 1163.
The history of the Heuer Autavia GMT models began in the second half of the 1960s with the first hand-wound chronographs powered by Valjoux movements and presented in classic round cases. A radical change followed in 1969: Heuer introduced the Autavia GMT automatic models with caliber 14 and a cushion-shaped case. But Heuer went one step further and created another hand-wound GMT in the new cushion-shaped case: the rare reference 741.603, which is highly prized by connoisseurs and collectors for its exclusivity and rarity.
The Autavia GMT's colorful and striking dial design is particularly captivating: a high-contrast reverse panda dial with white totalizers is accentuated by vibrant details - red accents and a bright yellow GMT hand harmonize perfectly with the two-tone 24-hour rotating bezel in blue and red.
At the heart of this rarity beats the reliable Valjoux 7741 movement, a proven hand-wound caliber renowned for its robustness and precision.
This watch has survived more than 5 decades and is still in exceptionally good condition.
As an added highlight, this Autavia comes with the original and rare Gay Frères bracelet - a coveted collector's item that underscores the authenticity and value of this exceptional watch.
