About Rolex Sea-Dweller
Introduced in the late 1960s, the Sea-Dweller 1665 was a diver's watch designed specifically for professional divers. It was characterized not only by increased water resistance, but also by a pioneering function that was of immense importance for deep-sea research: the helium valve. For the first time, the newly developed helium valve, located on the left-hand side of the case, allowed the excess pressure inside the watch to escape during its long stay under water.
Vintage collectors admire the legendary Sea-Dweller not only because of its important history, but also because of the robust construction of the case, the reliable movement and, of course, the classic and attractive dial.
