This rare Heuer Monaco ref. 1133G from the early 1970s is a particularly charming variation of the iconic Monaco. Its grey dial exudes understated coolness and is much rarer than the more common blue version.
Launched in 1969, the Heuer Monaco was revolutionary in several ways: it was the first automatic chronograph to be housed in a square case, and it featured the historically important Calibre 11 - developed in collaboration between Heuer, Breitling, Büren and Dubois-Dépraz. Along with Zenith's El Primero, it was one of the world's first self-winding chronograph movements.
This particular example stands out for its unpolished case and immaculate grey dial - a condition rarely seen today. Its appeal is further enhanced by the original MK1 NSA stainless steel bracelet, a rare and sought-after component that further enhances the historical authenticity and collectibility of this piece.
