This rare Eberhard Extra-Fort Chronograph Ref. 31006 is pure motorsport – the striking checkered pattern on the dial unmistakably evokes the iconic chequered flag seen at the finish line of a race.

Founded in 1887, the manufacturer Eberhard is one of the pioneers of wrist-worn chronographs. Over the decades, the brand has produced numerous technically refined and stylistically distinctive models – many of which have become highly sought-after vintage chronographs today, such as this remarkable Extra-Fort 31006 from the early 1970s.

What sets this model apart is its oval stainless steel case with sharply beveled lugs – a perfect match for the dynamic racing-inspired dial design. The overall condition of the watch is impressive: even after more than fifty years, the case retains its full profile and features the original finely brushed surface on the lugs.

The dial is undoubtedly the highlight of this chronograph – preserved in flawless condition, with no scratches or blemishes. It features high-contrast anthracite sub-dials, red hands, and a creamy patina on the original luminous material. A tachymeter scale around the outer edge adds both functionality and visual depth to the sporty design.

Inside ticks Eberhard's in-house manual-wind caliber 324 – a reliable movement known for its robustness. The watch is completed by its original stainless steel racing bracelet, which is in excellent condition and wears very comfortably.
