This Heuer Monaco "Steve McQueen" from the 1970s impresses with its perfectly preserved dial and unpolished case. As an additional rarity, it is accompanied by its original stainless-steel bracelet.
While an Autavia or a Carrera is essential for every Heuer collector, a Monaco is the ultimate highlight of any serious watch collection. There are many reasons why the Monaco has achieved cult status: its distinctive square case sets it apart from all other Heuer models, and it was the world's first water-resistant square wristwatch. Between 1969 and 1974, fewer than 4,500 examples were produced – and after more than 50 years, only a small number remain in such excellent condition. The watch is powered by the legendary automatic Caliber 11. And, of course, the Monaco owes much of its enduring fame to its most iconic wearer: Steve McQueen.
The present example stands out with an exceptionally well-preserved dial, an unpolished case, and the very rare original stainless-steel bracelet. With only light signs of wear, this watch can be confidently worn while retaining its strong collector's appeal.
The Heuer Monaco Ref. 1133B is a true design icon – few other watches offer such a high level of recognition. This particular piece is undoubtedly among the finest examples still in existence today.
