Description
This Movado chronograph from the 1940s ranks among the most desirable executions featuring the in-house Caliber M90 – a movement highly regarded by collectors for its technical sophistication and distinctive design. One of its charming peculiarities is the reversed pusher logic: the lower pusher starts and stops the chronograph, while the upper one resets it – an unconventional configuration that makes this timepiece truly unique.

While most M90 examples were housed in 33 mm cases, this rare version impresses with a generous 35 mm diameter, giving it a striking presence on the wrist. The case was crafted by the renowned François Borgel, whose "FB" hallmark is engraved inside the caseback – a hallmark of quality and masterful craftsmanship.

The silver dial exhibits a beautifully even, honest patina and captivates with its intricate scale layout: a blue tachymeter, a red telemeter and an additional blue snail scale at the center – a highly attractive and rare combination that lends the dial great depth and character.

Equally captivating are the elegant "tasti tondi" pushers – large, radially fluted and reminiscent of the legendary Patek Philippe Ref. 1463. They lend the watch a sporty yet refined touch, highlighting its exclusive nature.

Completing the ensemble is a very rare Gay-Frères Bamboo steel bracelet, whose distinctive link structure immediately catches the eye. This bracelet not only enhances the watch's vintage charm but also reinforces its authentic, period-correct character.

A stylish chronograph with history, soul and rarity – an important collector's item from the golden era of Swiss watchmaking.
