This manual-wound Carrera is one of those watches spoken about in hushed tones even among seasoned collectors. Among all the coveted executions of the Heuer Carrera, the Reference 7753 produced for the Belgian Air Force is perhaps the rarest of them all.
In the late 1960s, Heuer received a military commission from Belgium — an order known to have comprised only around 250 pieces. An extraordinarily small production run. Even more remarkable is the fact that fewer than ten examples are documented today. The rest were likely lost or destroyed during the demanding service life of military pilots. It is precisely this combination of historical significance and true scarcity that gives this watch its unique aura.
This particular example was produced for, and issued to, the LuM-Faé (Lucht Macht – Forces Aériennes), the Belgian Air Force. The engravings on the caseback stand as a direct and authentic testimony to its military past.
The matte black dial is especially striking, meeting every expectation of a correct military configuration: warmly aged brown luminous numerals paired with green-filled hands — the exact combination found on authentic military-issued Heuer watches. Nothing here appears retouched or restored; everything reflects the honest patina of an instrument that fulfilled its duty many decades ago.
The result is an extremely rare military watch with genuine historical depth and a vintage presence that simply cannot be fabricated.
