Finding a Zenith El Primero G381 in such outstanding condition is a true discovery for collectors. This exceptional model was produced by Zenith only between 1969 and 1972, with a total production of fewer than 700 pieces.
Particularly impressive is the nearly untouched condition of this watch. Apparently worn only rarely and most likely never polished, the 18k gold case still presents itself in its original form with crisp, well-preserved lines. The clearly visible serial number on the caseback as well as the deep and sharply defined gold hallmarks further underline the exceptional state of preservation. The dial is equally impressive, appearing perfectly clean and beautifully preserved.
Inside beats the legendary El Primero caliber 3019 PHC – one of the world's first automatic chronograph movements. With its high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, this movement set new standards in watchmaking and significantly surpassed the then common standard of 19,800 vibrations per hour. It also already features the practical quickset date function.
Considering the rarity of this model and the exceptional condition, this represents a very rare opportunity for collectors.
