Its mechanism is as innovative as it is charming: a tube encircles the crystal and is connected to the outside via a tiny opening at 3 o’clock. As the diver descends, water enters the tube, and with increasing pressure, the water level inside rises accordingly. A red indicator line appears along the scale printed on the dial, allowing for depth readings of up to 300 feet – an impressive example of clever engineering.
The Depthomatic offered here is preserved in outstanding condition. Most Nivada dive watches were heavily used and are now only partially functional, if at all. This example, however, has stood the test of time, featuring a beautifully preserved original cream-colored dial.
Particularly noteworthy is the authentic patina of the original radium lume, lending the watch a unique vintage character. Warmly aged but untouched, it tells the story of a watch that truly lived its purpose.

Case: 38 mm stainless steel case – honest signs of wear consistent with age – well-preserved lines – crisp case back engravings – rotating bezel.
