Description
The Heuer Kentucky reference 750.703B with its blue dial from 1977 ranks among the most distinctive and unusual chronographs of the late Heuer era.

The Kentucky occupies a special place within the vintage Heuer collection. Unlike most Heuer chronographs, which are closely associated with motorsport, the Kentucky draws its inspiration from the world of horse sports. Its model name was inspired by the famous Kentucky Derby, while the distinctive case takes the shape of a horseshoe. Jack Heuer himself later described the Kentucky as one of the finest chronograph cases Heuer had ever designed.

This example features its original dark blue dial, where the white scales and printing create an attractive contrast. All hands and hour markers retain their original luminous material. A tachymeter scale around the outer edge of the dial further emphasizes the watch's sporty appearance. Another distinctive detail is the Heuer logo positioned on the case at 6 o'clock – making the Kentucky one of the very few Heuer chronographs of its era not to display the brand name on the dial.

Inside, the watch is powered by the proven Valjoux 7750 with quick-set day and date functions. The Kentucky was also the first Heuer collection to be equipped with this automatic chronograph movement.

The original integrated stainless steel bracelet with its signed Heuer folding clasp perfectly complements the watch's distinctive design while providing excellent wearing comfort. With its striking case, integrated bracelet, and unmistakable styling, the Kentucky stands apart from other Heuer chronographs of its era and remains an interesting model for collectors of exceptional vintage watches.
