In the middle of the twentieth century, Longines conquered the ocean floor with its diver's watches, including the legendary Diver Reference 7150-1. The Super Compressor case improves its water resistance the deeper the Diver goes pressing the caseback tighter against the case due to increasing underwater pressure.

The large 42mm case is in great condition, has sharp edges and is unpolished. The original luminous material is still intact in the hour and minute hands. The lume in the hour markers has worn off evenly and shows dark-brown patina. The black dial has no scratches at all and is absolutely mint with slight patina. The Super Compressor has two crowns at 2 and 4 o'clock, to adjust the rotatable bezel and to set the time. The surface of the upper crown has a small imperfection, the lower one is flawless. Both crowns are original and have the original characteristic crosshatching. The engraving on the original caseback shows a diver with a spear. The automatic movement with Longines calibre 290 is in great condition.

By the way, Longines has released a re-edition of this historic icon a few years ago, which makes the original even more sought after.
